Forney Engineering is proud of our staff of highly experienced professionals. Over 23% of our employees have been with the firm more than 20 years and 54% of them have been with the firm for more than 7 years. Our combined experience exceeds 200 years in the design of mechanical and electrical systems.
Our staff is continually being trained on current design updates and changes in the building industry. We are active participants in the technical organizations that keep us on the leading edge of new systems and their design. Our firm actively includes in our designs any possible energy incentive programs that may be available.
Technology
The team is supported in the office by a robust gigabit Ethernet network protected by a state of the art firewall and three layers of backup protection to minimize workflow interruption in the event of an emergency. Designer’s and Engineer’s workstations include Dell’s robust Precision 490 series with significantly upgraded components including ATI’s professionally recognized FireGL series graphics accelerators. A networked KIP wide-format laser plotter allows the team to print crisp, full size drawings quickly and in-house and complimented by a wide-format HP DesignJet that can be used when evaluations using color are needed.
Forney Engineering invests heavily in keeping up to date with the equipment our employees need to handle the most demanding drawings and three-dimensional renderings. Design is carried out with a suite of Autodesk products including, AutoCAD, Building Systems / MEP, and Revit MEP.
